IA!! IA!!! Jack O'Thulhu F'taghn!

Pattern by King-Reaper at Deviantart.  My wife (who is much better manipulating printers and programs than I) got it to print out the right size so we could get it on the pumpkin.  I used an Exacto-knife and a crab-picking tool to cut out the pattern and scrape it to about 3/4" deep.  All in all about 3 hours of work but worth it.

Here's a pic of Jack O'Thulhu, Jack Skellington, and two more Jack O'Lanterns guarding our doorstep this evening.

Have a happy and Lovecraftian Halloween!

That turned out pretty damn good. Do you think Cthulhu likes pumpkin seeds?

Thanks - first time I ever did a pumpkin in "bas-relief". Made me glad Halloween only comes once a year.

I'm thinking way too hard on your question, though. So I'll just snicker.

I would have been more impressed and so would Lovecraft I presume had you done that on your body.

But I guess practicing on an un-complaining pumpkin is a start.

Very cool look.

I like how the Cthulhu pumpkin also kinda looks like a top view of a glowing brain.
